 Remark
 The meat is tasty, with soft consistency. Meat of the abdomen is fattier than from the back side. The soup has mediocre taste. The meat is recommended for use in smoked curing and for semifinished and culinary preparations. Specimens from the East China Sea are probably L. malabaricus (see stocks description).
